Free Fitness Classes - 2 Sessions May 4 through September 26


Columbus Commons is excited to offer seven weekly fitness classes this season. All classes are provided free of charge thanks to UnitedHealthcare and are taught by Ohio Fit Club instructors. Two sessions will be offered, so mark your calendars to enjoy a unique open-air experience!


Registration

All participants are required to register by filling out an online waiver and release. Register online by filling out a waiver to take all seven weekly classes for both sessions. Once you fill out the online registration and waiver form, you have access to all classes throughout the season. Only one registration is required per person. If you participated in Columbus Commons Fitness Classes last year, please submit a new online registration form. If participants do not fill out an online waiver/registration form, they may be asked to leave the fitness classes.

BOOTCAMP, MONDAYS, 5:30pm-6:30pm 
Session 1: May 4 through June 8 (no class May 25)
Session 2: August 3 through September 21 (no class on August 17 and September 7)

Bootcamp is a constantly varied mix of functional movements using your body weight and other equipment. Each class starts out with a group warm-up, followed by a fast-paced workout, and concludes with a cool-down. You will work hard, have fun and get results.

INTERVAL TRAINING, TUESDAYS, 5:30pm-6:30 pm 
Session 1: May 5 through June 9 (no class on June 2)
Session 2: August 4 through September 22

Interval training involves a series of low-to-high-intensity exercise workouts interspersed with rest periods. This class is meant to keep your heartrate up and keep you coming back for more.

YOGA, TUESDAYS, 6:30pm-7:30 pm 
Session 1: May 5 through June 9 (no class on June 2)
Session 2: August 4 through September 22

Yoga is a Vinyasa Flow Yoga series with a mix of movement and breathing. Basic yoga poses and breathing techniques are blended together to create an invigorating workout that will leave you balanced and ready for a busy weekend. We suggest bringing your own mat, or you can enjoy the grass beneath your feet.

KICKBOXING, WEDNESDAYS, 5:30pm-6:30pm 
Session 1: May 6 through June 10
Session 2: August 5 through September 9 (no class September 16 and September 23)

Kickboxing is a constantly varied mix of martial arts skills (kicking & punching) and functional movements using your body weight. Each class starts out with a group warm-up, followed by a fast-paced workout and concludes with a cool-down. You will work hard, learn usable skills, have fun and get results.

HIP HOP, WEDNESDAYS, 6:30pm-7:30pm 
Session 1: May 6 through June 10
Session 2: August 5 through September 9 (no class September 16 or September 23)

This introductory-level Hip Hop class provides a structured method of learning various Hip Hop dance movements in a fun-filled and vibrant class environment, and offers a new set of combinations and routines every time.

YOGA, SATURDAYS, 9:00am-10:00am 
Session 1: May 9 through June 13 (no class on June 6)
Session 2: August 8 through September 26 (no class August 22)

ZUMBA, SATURDAYS, 10:00am-11:00am 
Session 1: May 9 through June 13 (no class on June 6)
Session 2: August 8 through September 26 (no class August 22)

Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Come dance your way to fitness every Saturday morning.
