Weekly Fitness Classes Start May 6

UUpdate: Saturday's Yoga and Zumba classes a

Columbus Commons is excited to offer six weekly fitness classes this season. All classes are provided free of charge and are taught by Ohio Fit Club instructors. Two sessions will be offered, so mark your calendars to enjoy a unique open-air experience!

Registration

All participants are required to register by filling out an online waiver and release. Register online by filling out a waiver to take all six weekly classes for both sessions. Once you fill out the online registration and waiver form, you have access to all classes throughout the season. Only one registration is required per person. If you participated in Columbus Commons Fitness Classes last year, please submit a new online registration form. If participants do not fill out an online waiver/registration form, they may be asked to leave the fitness classes.

Bootcamp, Mondays, 5:30pm-6:30pm
Session 1: May 6 through June 10 (excluding May 27)
Session 2: July 29 through September 23 (excluding September 2)

Bootcamp is a constantly varied mix of functional movements using your body weight and other equipment. Each class starts out with a group warm-up, followed by a fast-paced workout, and concludes with a cool-down. You will work hard, have fun and get results. Instructor: Mitch Potterf

CrossFit, Tuesdays, 6:30am-7:30am
Session 1: May 7 through June 11
Session 2: July 30 through September 24

Morning CrossFit is a mix of constantly varied functional movements. From beginner to advanced, highly trained coaches will take you through a full body work out. Work outs will consist of running, jumping, calisthenics and other fun stuff designed to test and develop every aspect of fitness. Instructor: Mitch Potterf

Kickboxing, Wednesdays, 5:30pm-6:30pm
Session 1: May 8 through June 5
Session 2: July 31 through September 25 (excluding September 18)

Kickboxing is a constantly varied mix of martial arts skills (kicking & punching) and functional movements using your body weight. Each class starts out with a group warm-up, followed by a fast-paced workout and concludes with a cool-down. You will work hard, learn usable skills, have fun and get results. Hip Hop, Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm
Session 1: May 8 through June 5
Session 2: July 31 through September 25 (excluding September 18)

This introductory-level Hip Hop class provides a structured method of learning various Hip Hop dance movements in a fun-filled and vibrant class environment, and offers a new set of combinations and routines every time. Instructor: Alexander Chang

Yoga, Saturdays, 9:00am-10:00am
Session 1: May 11 through June 8
Session 2: August 3 through September 28

Yoga is a Vinyasa Flow Yoga series with a mix of movement and breathing. Basic yoga poses and breathing techniques are blended together to create an invigorating workout that will leave you balanced and ready for a busy weekend. We suggest bringing your own mat, or you can enjoy the grass beneath your feet. Instructors: Kandi Shamblin & Local Yoga allstars

Zumba, Saturdays, 10:00am-11:00am
Session 1: May 11 through June 8
Session 2: August 3 through September 28

Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Come dance your way to fitness every Saturday morning. Instructor: Christine Pinkerton
