WHAT: Premier Red, White and Boom Viewing and Free Concert
WHEN: Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012
WHERE: Columbus Commons
160 S. High Street
WHY: For people coming downtown for Red, White and Boom, Columbus Commons has the perfect combination: great fireworks, free music, food, fun and convenient, inexpensive parking
Live music begins at 7 p.m., featuring a free concert from Terry Davidson & the Gears, who will be the opening act for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Commons on July 15th. Visitors are encouraged to stay after the music for some of the best views of the Red, White and Boom fireworks in town.
Food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) sales will begin at 6 p.m. with food from food trucks and Commons staples Burgers, Dogs & Fries and Lola’s Pizza Shack. Chairs and blankets are welcome. Coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed, but subject to inspection.
While there, visitors can take advantage of the one-time opportunity to buy your general admission Lynyrd Skynyrd concert tickets for the special promotional price of $25 without additional fees.
Easy, convenient parking is available at the Columbus Commons garages. Special event rate is $5. Overnight parking is available in both garages. Visitors should plan ahead for this by pulling a ticket instead of prepaying the $5 special event rate. Prepay is only good through midnight. The garages will remain open 24/7.
